James L. Marshall James L. Marshall, 60, of Rome, passed away Sunday July 8, 2007 at home. He was born in Rome, N.Y. on December 11, 1946, son of the late Herbert and Rita Hyde Marshall. Jim served with the U.S Army. On June 21, 1969 he married Elaine Cosimeno in Rome. Mr. Marshall was a former employee of Omega Wire, Laribee Wire and Universal Empire Co. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. He was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone that needed it. Surviving besides his wife, Elaine, are a daughter and son-in-law, Jesse and Anthony Festa, Rome; a son and daughter-in-law, James C. and Elizabeth Marshall, Taberg; a step-daughter Brenda and her husband Foster Bullis, Afton, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Jennifer Daignault, Carissa LaPointe, Brianna Marshall, and soon-to-be granddaughter in November; four step-grandchildren Stephanie Festa, Tiffany Festa, Anthony Festa, William Bullis; three brothers, and a sister-in-law Jerry Marshall. Herbert and Suzie Marshall, Leonard Marshall and Miss Joyce, all of Rome; six sisters and four brothers-in-law Velma and Ronald Curtis, Louise and Norman Paddleford, all of Rome, Theresa and Randy Vetter, Taberg, Lori and Craig Come, Lee Center, Norma Jarvis and Billy Jo Shuck, both of Rome. Also surviving are several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, a special great niece Chirstyn "Baby" Marshall, and two God children, William DePan and Crystal Marshall. He was predeceased by a daughter, Jacqueline Marshall; a brother, Frederick Marshall; a sister, Janet Apgar; and a brother-in-law, Edward Cosimeno. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 am at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., Rome. Burial will be in Rome Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8 pm.
