Angelo Cicconi Angelo Cicconi, 89, a resident of Bethany Gardens, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2008 at the healthcare facility. He was born in Rome, N.Y. on July 7, 1918, son of the late Giusseppi and Fortunata DeProspero Cicconi. Angelo attended Rome Schools. On October 12, 1940, he married Josephine Marturano. She passed away May 26, 2006. Mr. Cicconi served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Anillo Industries, Orange, Calif., where he was employed for several years. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church and former member of Rome Elks, Toccolana Club, Rome Knights of Columbus and Ava Dorfman Senior Citizens Center. Surviving are nieces and nephews, Marie Raack, Sharon Bentzen, Barbara Dibble, all of Rome, James DeSantis, Iowa, Paul DeSantis, California, Patricia Christopolus and Jennie Jackson, both of Rome; several grand nieces and grand nephews; devoted cousins, Sister Rosaire Anne DeMare, Rome, Rosalie Bray, California, Joyce Pope, California; and a sister-in-law, Angela Cicconi. He was predeceased by three brothers, John, Vincent and Dominick Cicconi, and two sisters, Agnes Fontana and Pauline George. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church with all welcome to attend. Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, 385 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham, N.Y. 12110
