Carmen S. Malagisi Carmen S. Malagisi, 75, of Kilbourne Rd., Rome, NY, passed away Friday, June 13, 2008 after a brief illness. He was born in Syracuse, NY on July 21, 1932 the son of Anthony and Maria Paparella Malagisi. He was educated at Liverpool High School and holds a B.S. degree in physics from Syracuse University. Carmen was united in marriage to the former Rosemarie Squillace on February 11, 1978, at St. John the Baptist Church, Rome, NY. He was employed at Griffiss Air Force Base for many years as an electronic engineer and more recently by L-3 Communications. He was an active member in the community and also St. Johns Church. Carmen was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Mens Club of St. Johns Church, the Italian-American Heritage Club, and the Toccolana Club. Carmen is survived by his wife, Rosemarie; a son, Carmen, of Liverpool, NY; a daughter, Maria, of Syracuse, NY; one sister and brother-in-law, Theresa and Guy Stagnitta, of Baldwinsville, NY; one brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Frances Malagisi, of Syracuse, NY; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Frank and Rita Squillace of Cape Coral, FL; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by three brothers, Julio, John and Michael Malagisi. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 16, 2008 at 10:00 am at St. John the Baptist Church where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in St. Johns Cemetery, Rome, NY. Relatives and friends may call on Sunday from 4:00 7:00 pm at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home Inc., 218 W. Court St., Rome, NY.
