Obituary of Alma E. Schneible

Alma E. Schneible Alma E. Schneible, 94, of Rome, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at Rome Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Rome, NY, on April 16, 1920, daughter of the late Louis and Lottie Newman Coluccio. Alma attended Rome Schools. On April 28, 1956, she married Paul M. Schneible Jr., in St. John the Baptist Church. He passed away on August 19, 2005. Alma was a former employee of Rome Developmental Center. She held many fond memories of working for the Destito Family at the Savoy and Beeches. Alma was a longtime award winning sales representative for Beeline Fashions. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church; Ava Dorfman Senior Center and for many years she was a member of the Ladies of the Moose, Rome. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Paul M. III and Sara Schneible, East Syracuse, NY, a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda J. and Peter W. Antonowicz, Ava, NY; seven grandchildren, Paul M. Schneible IV, Thomas J. Schneible, Daniel L. Mullin, Joel W. Antonowicz, Allison M. Antonowicz, Kara M. Rauscher-Eaton and Douglas M. Davis; five great grandchildren, Trae, Cameron and Justin Davis, Jayden Eaton and Joshua Mullin; a great, great granddaughter, Rylie Davis and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Paul; two daughters Gloria A. Davis and Sharon M. Rauscher and grandson Bryan Rauscher; two brothers Thomas and James Coluccio; and a sister Mary Compo. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 9:15 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., and at St. John the Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in Rome Cemetery.
