Josephine M. Hluska Josephine M. Hluska, 84, of Rome, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Oneida Healthcare Extended Care Facility in Oneida. She was born in Rome, NY, on June 7, 1930, daughter of the late Andrew and Maddelena Montana Esposito. Josephine attended Rome Schools and was a graduate of the Manpower Act for the School of Nursing. On October 20, 1973, she married Stephen A. Hluska, in Transfiguration Church and shared a beautiful and loving life with Steve, until his death on March 8, 2002. She worked at Rome Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse, until her retirement in 1985. Josephine enjoyed bowling and golfing. Surviving are a sister, Rose Deutschman, Rome and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, a son, Stanley J. Chilkotowsky, four sisters; Katherine Fazio, Angeline Belcamino, Carmela Gennero, and infant Antoinette Esposito, four brothers; Clement, Anthony, Andrew and Nicholas Esposito. The family would like to express a special thank you to two wonderful and close friends, Dawn and Dan Tartaglia and family, along with Marge Gorman and family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at Transfiguration Church with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating, where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W.
