David D. Calandra, Jr. David D. Calandra, Jr., 35, of Holland Patent, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 15, 2014. He was born in Rome, NY on March 3, 1979 son of David D. and Donna Jenks Calandra. David graduated from Rome Free Academy Class of 1998 and was a graduate of Mohawk Valley Community College. He was a former employee of Jay-K Lumber, New Hartford. David was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. He attended numerous car shows with his father and enjoyed video games with his Godchild. David also liked to watch football especially the Miami Hurricanes. Surviving besides his mother and father, David and Donna Calandra are a sister and brother-in-law, Tonya Calandra and Terry Horton, Rome, a brother Derek Calandra, Holland Patent. Also surviving are a niece and nephew, Halle and Haden Horton and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 8:45 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., Rome and at St. John the Baptist Church at 9:30 a.m., for a Mass of Christian Burial, with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating.
