Obituary of Hildegard G. Beer

Hildegard G. Beer Hildegard G. Beer, 90, of Rome, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014 in the comfort of her home. Hilde was born in Herbolzheim, Germany, on April 13, 1924 daughter of the late Simon and Hildegard Ziern Horch. On September 27, 1948 she married Robert H. Beer in Germany. He passed away on December 2, 1967. Hilde will be remembered for her spirit, love of the Red Sox, cooking, gardening and anything German, but most of all her family. Hilde leaves behind her devoted daughter, Susan Smith and her husband Michael, Rome, two sons, Edward Beer and his wife Alice, Floyd and Robert M. Beer and his partner Debra Brasie, Rome, grandchildren; Eric Smith, Rebecca (Kevin) Healy, Mark (Elin) Beer, Robert H. Beer, Jacob Beer, Kelly (Mike) Rennie and Michael Beer and Jodi, great grandchildren; Laina Beer, Madeline and Abigail Healy and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving is a sister, Paula, Germany. She was predeceased by three sisters Hermina, Lena and Mina, two brothers; Gebhardt and Joseph. The family would like to express a special thank you, with great appreciation to Hospice for their care and support, which will always be remembered. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating. Private burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
