Georgette M. Giardino Georgette M. Giardino, 90, of Rome, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at home. She was born in Notre Dame du Lous, Quebec, Canada on October 8, 1924 daughter of the late Michael and Julia Thibodeau Solomon. On October 6, 1952 she married Rocco "Bucky" Giardino in Ottawa, Canada. Georgette was co-owner with her husband and son of Bucky and Georgette's Sub Shop. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Surviving besides her husband, Bucky, is a son, Michael R. Giardino, Rome, a granddaughter, Julia and her husband Kareem Soto, Las Vegas, NV., and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a daughter, Agnes Giardino Gallucci who passed away September 14, 1983, two brothers Conrad and Eddie, two sisters Simone and Flo. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Georgette's cousin Madeline and Hospice Care for their care and compassion shown to Georgette in her final days. A Mass of Christian will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W.
