Loreto "Larry" A. Guiliano, Sr. Loreto "Larry" A. Guiliano, Sr., 73, of Rome, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at home. He was born in Utica, NY, on December 21, 1941 son of the late Rosario "Sal" and Pauline Testa Guiliano. He graduated from Rome Free Academy. Larry served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1966. On May 15, 1970 he married Ida M. LaJoie in St. John the Baptist Church. She passed away on March 8, 2009. He was owner and operator of Guiliano's Service, which was started by his father Sal sixty years ago. Larry was a member of the Toccolana Club and the Saturday night Co-ed Bocce League. He was also a member of the Tappet Twirlers Car Club, NASCAR fan, and an avid bowler in several leagues. Surviving is a son, Larry A. Guiliano, Jr., a daughter Colleen M. Guiliano, two sisters and a brother-in-law, Patricia Johnson, Rosalie and Walter Oliver, a brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Cindy Guiliano all of Rome. Also surviving are brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Joe LaJoie, FL, Jim and Gail LaJoie, Tom LaJoie, Bill and Diane LaJoie, John Kendrew, Jay Davis all of Watertown, NY, Candy LaJoie, Dexter, NY, several nieces and nephews and his special canine companion, Bella. He was predeceased by his wife, parents, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Russell D. Johnson, Sr., Pat LaJoie, Andrea Kendrew, Beatrice Davis, John LaJoie and Carolyn LaJoie and a nephew John Kendrew, Jr. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4-7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Peter's Church c/o Mission of the Christ Child or St. Peter's Memorial Fund, 105 E.
