Gennaro "Jerry" J. Corigliano Gennaro J. Corigliano, 86, of Rome passed away on Monday, August 17, 2015 at Rome Memorial Hospital. He was born in Rome, NY on April 11, 1929 son of the late Gennaro and Caterina Condello Corigliano. Jerry served in the U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1954. On September 5, 1953 he married Catherine D'Avolio in St. John the Baptist Church. Jerry retired from Griffiss Air Force Base. Surviving besides his wife Catherine "Kit" are a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Bill Scott, WA, a son, Gennaro Corigliano III, Rome, a grandson, Christopher Scott and a granddaughter, Danyella Corigliano. Also surviving are a sister, Rose Baptiste, two brothers and sisters-in-law; Thomas and Carmella Corigliano, Peter and Isabelle Corigliano, Anne Corigliano, a brother-in-law, David Schillaci all of Rome and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by five sisters, a brother and five brothers-in-law; Antoinette and Dominick Ross, Nora and Carl Pugliese, Frances and Alfred Scerra, Mary and James Farraggio, Angeline Schillaci, Nazare Corigliano and William Baptiste. Funeral Services are private. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial Contributions may be made in his memory to Rome Rescue Mission, 411 E.
