Marie A. Trembeth Marie A. Trembeth, 86, of Rome, born and raised in the same home for 86 years, passed away on Saturday, November 07, 2015 at the Siegenthaler Center after a brief illness. She was born in Rome, NY, on June 13, 1929 daughter of the late Vito and Mary Nigro LaRossi. Marie was a graduate of Rome Free Academy. On September 4, 1948 she married Francis S. Trembeth in St. John the Baptist Church. He passed away on March 28, 2006. Marie was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family and pets. Marie enjoyed baking, ceramics and being with her club members. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Lucy and Joseph Giordano III, Rome, two grandchildren; Mary Jo and her husband Louis Gifune, Blossvale, Joseph Giordano, Rome, three great grandchildren; Anthony and his wife Alicia Gifune, Rome, Richard Platt Jr., Blossvale, Alexis Marie Platt, Blossvale and nieces, nephews and cousins, including a special cousin Christy Campanaro, who Marie referred to as a second daughter, and a special friend, Mary Fragapane. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis, a son, Robert R. Trembeth who passed away in 1972 and a brother, Leonard LaRossi and a special Aunt Margaret Colangelo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 2:00 p.m., at St. John the Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. There are no calling hours. A Celebration of Life will be held following the funeral mass at the Back Nine Restaurant, Turin Rd., from 4-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Siegenthaler Center, 4277 Middle Settlement Rd.
