Obituary of Larry W. Carro

Larry W. Carro (Mr. Awesome) Larry William Carro, 43, of Rome lost his battle with aggressive brain cancer on Friday, April 8, 2016 with his family and friends by his side. Larry was born in Rome, NY, on July 24, 1972 son of Larry A. and Judy (Martin) Carro. Larry graduated from Rome Free Academy in 1991. He was currently employed at The Light Connection and previously at Rome Cable Corp. Larry's favorite thing was spending time with his daughter, Halie, the most beautiful girl in the world whom he was most proud of. His greatest accomplishment was being an "Awesome" dad to his daughter. He enjoyed four-wheeling, computer gaming, and customizing his Camaro. Larry was most remembered for his great sense of humor, unselfish demeanor, bright smile and contagious laugh. Larry greatly appreciated the time he spent with his family, friends, and his dog Jewels. Larry is survived by his parents Larry A. and Judy Carro, his brother and sister in-law, Steven and Lillian Carro, a nephew, Alexander "Little Man" Carro all of Rome, his precious daughter Halie Bravo and her mother Kim Bravo (Marcy), Aunt Debra Greshtchuk (Rome), Aunt Kathy Parker (Rome), Uncle Douglas Martin (Rome), Aunt Adelia Carro (Floyd) and many cousins. He was predeceased by his Uncle Joseph Carro. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 7751 Merrick Rd., Rome. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, 7751 Merrick Rd., on Monday, April 11, 2016, from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Halie Bravo, to further her education.
