Lillian M. Koval Rome - Lillian M. Koval, 96, of Rome, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Eastern Star Home, Oriskany. She was born in Minneapolis, MN, on February 21, 1920, daughter of the late William and Veronica Skiba Kozlowski. On October 28 1946, she married Felix Koval. He passed away October 22, 1958. Lillian retired from Rome Developmental Center. She was a member of Transfiguration Church and the Altar Rosary Society. Lillian enjoyed baking and gardening. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, William and Betty Koval, Decatur, AL, two daughters and sons-in-law; Patricia and Martin Gryziec, Rome, Marlene and Jay Cottet, Oriskany, a grandson, Jason and his wife Kim Cottet, New Castle, DE, a great granddaughter, Siena and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Felix, a grandson, Jonathan Cottet, two brothers, Edward and George Kozlowski and four sisters, Florence DeVito, Josephine Dawley, Helen Vendetti and Agnes Abbe. The family would like to thank the employees and volunteers of Eastern Star Home, especially the Carey Unit. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at 10:00 am at Transfiguration Church, 111 Ridge St., Rome, NY. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Transfiguration Church Memorial Fund, mailing address: 210 E.
