Jeanette F. Cascarella-Harosia

1947 – 2025

Jeanette F. Cascarella-Harosia, 78, of Rome, NY, passed away on Thursday August 07, 2025, at Wynn Hospital. She was born in Germany on July 02, 1947, daughter of the late Nicholas and Frances Cascarella. Jeanette attended Rome schools and earned a B.A. degree in History from Utica College of Syracuse University. She was united in marriage to Dennis D. Harosia in Clinton, NY. Jeanette was a substitute teacher for various school districts in the area.

Jeanette enjoyed baking and sewing. She was a devout Catholic and an active member of the R-Cats program, as she had a great love for all animals.

Surviving besides her husband Dennis, is a brother, Nicholas G.A. Cascarella, Jr., of San Diego, California, two sisters; Sharon Glass and her husband John P. Glass, of Syracuse, NY, and Roberta Cascarella, of Rome, NY. She is also survived by family in Germany and in Italy. Jeanette is predeceased by her parents, Nicholas and Frances, and a sister, Karen Cascarella.

Services are private. There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jeanette’s name may be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital, Shriners Hospital, R-Cats Program, and Humane Society of Rome.
