In Loving Memory of Our Papa,
William G. Menter
From Nathan & Hagen Menter
Papa, some of our greatest memories begin with the sound of your very loud voice breaking the early-morning silence — the kind of wake-up call only you could deliver. Before the sun even thought about rising, you were already at our bedsides telling us to get up, get ready, because we were heading out on another adventure.
Those mornings meant everything to us. Whether we were going fishing, berry picking, or off to some new diner you had discovered and insisted we had to try for breakfast, being with you made it special. Half the time, the stories started before we even walked out the door — tales about fishing, hunting, or funny moments you loved to retell, each one making us laugh.
We can still hear that unmistakable hum you made to clear your throat — a sound that somehow became part of the rhythm of our days with you.
Food was one of your truest gifts, Papa. Not just eating it — sharing it. You were always dropping off fresh bread, berries, or fish to people who helped you, like it was the most natural thing in the world. And we’ll never forget your carefully packaged sauce, each container labeled with the exact number of meatballs meant for each person. You brought donuts even when no one said they wanted any — and we always ended up eating them anyway. And of course, no day with you was complete without ice cream to finish it off.
Your love of Elvis movies has stayed with us too. Honestly, it’s impossible to watch one now without thinking of you — your presence, your warmth, your way of making even quiet moments feel meaningful.
Papa, you passed so much on to your family: your humor, your generosity, your traditions, your stories, and your love for life’s simple adventures. We carry those with us every day.
We miss you more than words can say.
Thank you for the memories we will hold forever.
We love you,
Nathan & Hagen

Bill was a close friend of mine. A true friend. He was so good to my kids when they were growing up .use to go catfishing at night and caught lots of catfish.
My kids remember that vividly.Had so many laughs with Bill . Remember the first time he took me Salmon fishing. At that time we could still unsettle hooks with weights. He warned me it could be dzngerous people getting hooked across the river. When I got there I had a long black raincoat down to my ankles and shorty Motorcycle Helmet with a set of goggles .
When I got out Bill was laughing so hard he was crying.
It was such a riot. So many good times with Bill . He’s a great man and had respect for everyone. I will miss my friend but did tell him to save me a seat.
My sincere condolences to Bill’s whole family .

To my friend who has never been forgotten. We had a great time together in our hunting trips. I will always remember you and your Love for Elvis and the concert that we had attended together. I pray for your family to have all the best memories of your love for each of them.
Your long journey has brought many memories and all the love you gave to those of us that really had the opportunity to be in your life.
You are going to be missed but not forgotten.
My prayers are for your family and friends in this difficult time.
