1960 - 2025


Bradley Rasha, 65, of New London, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.  He was born on May 22, 1960 in Rome, NY, the son of the late Kenneth R. Rasha and Mona Davis Rasha.  On November 24, 2013 he was united in marriage to Bihong Cai in the New London United Methodist Church.


Brad graduated from Rome Free Academy in 1979, majoring in Industrial Arts.  In 1980 he attended Madison Oneida BOCES and earned a CDL Class A Drivers License.  He was employed for ten years by the Crestwood Golf Course in Marcy as a groundskeeper and assistant superintendent. For twenty two years he worked for the Verona Fuel Plant in Verona, NY as a security guard and loader gauger.   Most recently he was employed in the Facilities Department at the Turning Stone Casino.


Brad had experience in several trades, such as refinishing furniture, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, sheetrock, cabinet making, roofing, windows and doors.   He remodeled his house and could do his own repair work when needed.  He cut and sold firewood from his wooded property.  For five years he was the owner and operator of Sleepy Hollow Sealcoating.  Brad loved the outdoors and spent a lot of time doing yard work at home as well as hunting and fishing.


 Brad is survived by his wife, Bihong and daughter Wenbin; a brother, Kevin Rasha, a sister and brother- in-law, Laurie and Geoffrey Bartlett, nephew Derek Bartlett, niece Kaitlin Bartlett and her husband, Kees van Haasteren and great niece, Quinn van Haasteren.  He is also survived by several cousins.


Funeral services will be held at Delta United Methodist Church, 6285 Hawkins Corners Rd., Rome, NY 13440, on Monday, December 8, 2025 at 11:00 am.  Relatives and friends may call at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, 7751 Merrick Road, Rome, on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 2-4 pm. Private interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
