Barbara R. Ragonese

1938 – 2026

Barbara R. Ragonese, 87, of Rome, passed away on Saturday March 21, 2026. She was born in Rome, N.Y. on June 19, 1938, daughter of the late Alfonso and Theresa Lucanti Macri. Barbara was united in marriage to Salvatore “Sal” Ragonese, in Rome. He passed away in 2016. She was employed by General Electric, Utica, New York, in the Production Division. Barbara was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. She truly enjoyed the many trips that she had taken with her husband Sal through the years.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Alfonso and Theresa, a sister, Marie A. D’Ambrosi, and five brothers, Frank, Vincent, Anthony, Arthur, and Alfonso Macri, Jr.

Services are private. There are no calling hours.  Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
