Mary Lou Fallon, 83, of Rome, New York, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. Born on November 15, 1942, in Rome, NY, she was the cherished daughter of the late Louis A. Sr. and Carmella Pasqualetti DiBerardino.
Mary Lou was a proud graduate of Rome Free Academy. She devoted many years to her family’s legacy, managing and operating DiBerardino’s Bakery in Rome, NY, where she became a familiar and beloved presence in the community. She later continued her career at Turning Stone Casino.
Mary Lou had a vibrant spirit and a deep love for life. She was an avid bowler, golfer, and bocce player, always enjoying time spent with friends and family. Nothing meant more to her than her loved ones—she treasured every moment with her children and grandchildren, often traveling to visit them in Hawaii, Nashville, and Ottawa, Canada. In return, her family frequently gathered in New York to spend precious time with her. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church.
Mary Lou is survived by her loving children; Elizabeth “Tizza” Baptiste; Charlene Burke, who she loved like a daughter and shared a special bond with; Cindy McDonald; and JB Baptiste; and her beloved grandchildren, Brittany and Jon Butterworth, Melissa McDonald, Joel McDonald, and Kaia Baptiste. Also surviving is her brother, Louis A. DiBerardino Jr., and his wife, Krista. Mary Lou also leaves behind her dear nephews, who held a very special place in her heart: Lou DiBerardino, John DiBerardino, Patrick DiBerardino, Louis A. DiBerardino III, and Christian DiBerardino, along with their spouses and children. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to her cousin, Annemarie MacDonald, for the love and support she provided. In addition to her parents, Mary Lou was predeceased by her husband, Robert Fallon, brothers, Frank and and his wife, Pat DiBerardino, and Richard DiBerardino.
A Mass of Christian Burial and Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, 210 E. Dominick St., Rome, NY. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 7751 Merrick Rd., Rome, NY. Private Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
