Dominick A. Gatto, III

1960 – 2026

Dominick A. Gatto, III, 65, of Rome, passed away on Thursday April 23, 2026, at Wynn Hospital, Utica. He was born in Rome, N.Y. on August 11, 1960, son of the late, Dominick A. Jr., and Livia Detullio Gatto.  Dominick was educated in Rome schools and graduated from Rome Free Academy.  He retired from Bethany Gardens, in Rome, as Director of Dietary, and was formerly employed at Valley Health, Herkimer. Dominick was a member of St. John the Baptist Church and a former member of the Galliano Club.

Dominick is survived by his wife, Susan, a son, Anthony Gatto, a daughter, Ashley Gatto, and a grandson, Ryan Fletcher. Also surviving are a brother, Joey Gatto, a sister, Shirley Gatto- Fraer and her husband Ken Bickerstaff. He was predeceased by his parents, Dominick Jr., and Livia Gatto.

A Graveside Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday May 1, 2026, at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, lower East Dominick Street, in Rome. There are no calling hours.
