Rosemary Rosie A. Schipano Rosemary "Rosie" A. Schipano, 70, of Rome, passed away Monday, October 1, 2007 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse with her family by her side. She was born in Rome, N.Y. on February 3, 1937, a daughter of the late Anthony and Carmella Vero DeBonzo. Rosemary graduated from Rome Free Academy Class of 1955. On May 24, 1958, she married Louis A. Schipano Jr. Mrs. Schipano was a former bakery manager at Price Chopper and owned her own business, Nails by Rosemary. She retired in May 2007 from New York State School for the Deaf. Rosemary was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. All who knew mom, new there was no sadness in her life. She brought laughter to all who knew her. She touched every one of our lives in her own special way, a gift we will all treasure and a gift to all who knew her. She inspired each and every one of us to be strong, take chances, laugh a lot and most importantly, what a family truly is. She gave us strength in numbers. Rosemary will also be remembered for her love of cooking for family and friends. Surviving besides her husband of 49 years, Louis, are five daughters and sons-in-law, Antoinette and Ron Lamascolo, Barbara and Dennis Calandra, Christine and Brian Storms, JoAnn and Robert Marshall, all of Rome; Kathleen and Frank Buger, Fort Montgomery, N.Y.; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Louis Schipano III, Peter and Louise Schipano, all of Rome: 22 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister and brother-in-law, Theresa and Donald Beagle, Binghamton; a brother and sister-in-law, David and Donna DeBonzo, North Carolina. She was predeceased by a brother, Anthony DeBonzo. Funeral sevices will be held on Thursday at 9:45 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., and at St. John the Baptist Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9.
