Thomas J. Martin


Thomas J. Martin, 66, of Rome, passed away Friday, April 4, 2008 at home. He was born in Rome NY, on November 15, 1941, son of the late James E. and Fanny Farino Martin. Tom was educated in Rome Schools. He served with the U.S. Army and its reserves. Tom retired from Central New York Correctional Facility. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing.


Survivng are a brother and sister-in-law, James and Lynn Martin, Watervliet, NY. A sister and brother in-law, Gloria and Richard Hahn Sherrill. Also surviving are nieces and nephews: Dana Martin, Marie Tynon, Paul Martin, Rick Martin, Megan and Michael Martin and several cousins and a wide variety of friends.

The family would like to express a special Thank You to the Faxton-St. Lukes, Rome Dialysis Unit,especially Alice Beer, Anne Abbott,Jaime Ernst, and Carol Ingo.

Friends may call at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home Inc. 218 W. Court St. On Sunday from 4-7 p.m. Burial will be Private.
