Joy and I were so deeply saddened to hear of Jean's passing. Jean has been our lifelong friend, and held a very special place in our hearts. Over thirty years ago, Joy was a student aid and I an AF Lieutenant working with Jean at Griffiss AFB. Jean encouraged us to spend time together and as nature took its course, Joy and I dated, married, enjoying over thirty wonderful years together. Those were memorable days at Griffiss, and especially this time of year we remember fondly the office Christmas party and the quest to "steal" a taste of Jean's sausage and peppers before lunch was officially launched. Many fond memories as we've stayed in touch with Jean over the years, and our children have had a chance to meet this wonderful woman. She was warm, caring and selfless person. We know without a doubt she is with the Lord watching over us far above Rome NY. Our prayers are with Anita, her family and all who have experienced the gifts of this beloved women.
