My condolences to the entire."Schillaci" family. Everytime I saw Phil, he would tell me how happy he was to have such a wonderful family. He would just light as he gave me some of the updates, of all the kids and grandchildren. He was always smiling. He will be greatly missed. I am so sorry.

I was a good friend and fellow classmate of Phil's from the RFA Class of 1963. Phil and I also belonged to the Delta Phi Gamma fraternity when we were in high school together. We had some amazing times together in those years and for all the reunion years that followed.
I am living in San Antonio now, but whenever I returned to Rome for whatever reason(most recently in 2013 for our 50th Reunion), Phil and I(and always several others) always managed to find our way down to have greens and beans with our eggs very late at night(or many times very early in the morning). He and I always managed to laugh our way through our get togethers remembering easier, less complicated times.
I really think Phil was one of the nicest, gentlest creatures I have ever met. I remember him fondly in my prayers. Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. Your loss is also the Class of '63's loss and all those good people who knew this fine man. God Bless. Be assured that he is resting in peace.

We never sought any reason to shop around because of the way he treated us, he was truly one of a kind. Our condolences and love to the entire family. I remember Phil's stories on my many trips to visit one of my oldest and dearest friends (Tricia Schillaci Warzocha) family when we were both at Siena. We would visit with Phil & Chicky and I always remember how kind they were and all of the laughs. They always treated me like family. Phil was a wonderful man. Whenever I would visit my gram would stop in to say hello. He was very close to her and our family. He and his beautiful wife attended my grams 90th birthday at the franklin. I am deeply saddened by his passing and thankful that my gram and I visited him on wed. He was smiling and that will be our last memory. Will continue to pray for his family.

Phil was one of them guys you could go to for any advice. I always considered him a friend and all around great guy.
