Anthony "Rip" T. DelPico
Anthony "Rip" T. DelPico, 92, of Rome passed away Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare, New Hartford. He was born in Rome, NY on September 18, 1923 son of the late Angelo and Mary Enfani DelPico. Rip attended Rome Schools. He served with the U. S. Army during WWII in the Pacific Theatre. Rip married Caroline Digestine. She passed away in May of 1991. He retired from the Maintenance Department of Rome City School District. Rip was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Galliano Club, St. Gregory Club and Rome Music Club.
Surviving are three sons and a daughter-in-law; Richard DelPico, David DelPico, Anthony and Judy DelPico all of Rome, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers and sisters-in-law; Thomas and Margaret Delpico, Rome, Joseph and Ruby DelPico, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four sisters; Janet DePalma, Madeline "Ann" DeAngelo, Theresa Pellam and Maryann Grant.
Funeral Services are private. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St.
