Obituary of Jennie Ann (Stagnitti) Lucci

Jennie Ann (Stagnitti) Lucci Jennie Ann Lucci, 95, of Rome passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Betsy Ross Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Canastota, NY, on September 25, 1920 daughter of the late Rosario and Angela Farfaglia Stagnitti. On June 28, 1941 she married Anthony A. Lucci in St. Agatha's Church, Canastota. He passed away on July 10, 2010. Jennie retired from Ridge Mills School in food service, after working twenty years for the Rome City School District. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Jennie was a wonderful person who loved to cook and bake for family and friends. She was loved by all. Surviving are a daughter, Patricia A. Hinds of New Smyrna Beach, FL, a son and daughters-in-law; Anthony J. and Peggy Lucci of Lebanon, PA and Jill Lucci of Clarence, NY, seven grandsons; Gregory, Alan, Rocco, Robert, Tony, Jeffrey and Derek. Five great grandsons; Garret, Evan, Rocco, Dominic and Connor. Also surviving are two brothers and sisters-in-law; Carmen Stagnitti of Goldsboro, NC, Ross and Kathy Stagnitti of Schenectady, NY and Josephine Peroni of Rome. Four sisters; Julia Strange of Rome, Sandra Gray of AZ, Stella Harelick of FL, Gloria Reed of CA and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Anthony "Tony" Lucci, a son Rocco Lucci, a brother Joe Stagnitti, and three sisters; Lena LaRosa, Pauline Sorbello and Lucy Ward. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St. and at St. John the Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
