I want to send my condolences to the family during this difficult time. I was in Columbus elementary school(1973-1979) when Mrs. Panara was the secretary for Mr. Julius Perillo who was the principal. I had many visits to the office and would see her smiling face all the time.
She was so kind and always had nice words to say. I never forgot her and over the years when I was still in Rome I would see her at Price Chopper and stop and talk with her. When my father was staying in Bethany Gardens I would run into Mrs. Panara and we would stop and talk. She always asked about my family. I always made it a point to thank her for looking out for all the kids that came through Columbus School.
Mr. Perillo is now again talking with Mrs. Panara and I hope they realize that their job was well done. Thank you Mrs. Panara for caring so much. We will never forget.

I met Gloria over 40 years ago when my sister became engaged to her son, Paul. Her warmth was evident moments after we met and she never treated me over all these years as less than family. She was a wonderful matriarch for the Panara family. Knowing how I will miss her, I can only imagine how friends and family in Rome must feel. I grieve for the great loss in the Panara family and the loss to Rome.

I was so sorry to hear of Mrs. P's passing. Every time I was in the Panara home I remember Gloria always being sweet, kind, giving and caring. She always welcomed me in your home and was just a joy to be around. Whenever I was blessed by her presence she was always thinking of others before herself.
My deepest sympathies go out to the entire Panara family during this difficult time. I can see Mrs. P. waiting one day for those who loved her and those she loved with that wonderful smile welcoming all of us to our eternal home.
May God's Blessings of comfort and peace be with the Panara family and everyone who shares in mourning Mrs. P's passing.
