Obituary of Nancy "Mima" Nasci Wells

Nancy "Mima" (Nasci) Wells Nancy "Mima" Nasci Wells, 75, of Rome, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at home. She was born in Rome, NY, on April 10, 1941 daughter of the late, Alfonso and Mary Cuilla Nasci. Nancy attended Rome Schools. On June 28, 1955, she married her high school sweetheart, Raymond C. Wells in St. John the Baptist Church. He passed away, July 12, 1996. Nancy retired from Rome Developmental Center. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law; Tami (Wells) Rossi, Lori and Gary Roth all of Rome, three sons and two daughters-in-law; Michael J. and Esther Wells, Georgetown, TX, Raymond C. Wells, Jeffrey A. Wells and Donna Kimball all of Rome. Grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart; Ashley Rossi, George A. Rossi, Kyle Roth and Jamie Melnick, Gary Roth, Samantha Wells, Devin Gaudinot, Zachary Wells, Devon Wells, Mireya Sanchez and Aiden Wells, great grandchildren, "Mima's Boys"; Treyvon Parker and Moni Butler, "Mima's Girls"; Cami and Avery Roth. Also surviving are a sister, Patricia Wanzenried, Wilkes-Barre, PA and several nieces and nephews, a special friend, David Scarpatti. She was predeceased by five brothers; Louis Nash, James Nash, John Nash, Samuel Nash and Sandro Nasci, a sister, Concetta Lazzara. The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Robert Feeney, Linda Clifford, Mel, Karen, Nanette, the Hospice Team, Dr. Pedro DelPino, Jackie Viennaeu and her husband, Big Jim, Little Jimmy and Kourtney. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating. The family will receive friends at church from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the Funeral Mass. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
