Josephine A. Ritchie
Josephine A. Ritchie, 60, of Rome, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare, New Hartford. She was born in Rome, NY, on June 20, 1956 daughter of the late Anthony P. and Lillian Farino Ritchie. Josephine graduated from Rome Free Academy. She retired from Verizon where she was employed for several years. Josephine was a member of St. Peter's Church.
Surviving is a son, Anthony J. Destito, Clinton, a brother, John A. Ritchie, Rome, nephew, John Matthew Ritchie, Utica, an aunt, Antoinette Farino, Marcy, several cousins and special friends Tracy and Ron Madonia and Jean Catanzaro.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Church. Private burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Arrangements are by the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 7751 Merrick Rd.
