Obituary of Andrea Y. Pouliot

Andrea Y. Pouliot Andrea Y. Pouliot, 81, of Rome, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Rome Memorial Hospital. She was born in Rome, NY on August 19, 1935 daughter of the late Andrew and Genevieve Simon Yaworski. Andrea was a graduate of Rome Free Academy, Class of 1952. On October 19, 1979 she married Kenneth R. Pouliot in Transfiguration Church. She was a member of St. Paul's Church. Andrea was a thirty-five year employee of Rome Manufacturing and retired as an accounts payable clerk from DFAS after twenty years of service. While working at Griffiss DFAS, Andrea received various awards: Certificate of Recognition and Certificate of Appreciation. She was an avid reader and enjoyed travel. Andrea especially enjoyed her daily visits with her husband and canine companion Sassy. Surviving is her husband, Ken, a sister, Dr. Stephanie Yaworski, Rome, several cousins including: JoAnn Van Wagenen, Lee Center, Carol Hurlbut, Lee Center, Gail Littler, Rome, Joseph Yaworski, NC, John Robert Yaworski, Penfield, NY, Barbara Waters, NC, Robert Simon, TN, and an aunt, Afra Yaworski, Rome. The family would like to express a special thank you to Rome Memorial Hospital Residential Healthcare Facility, two north, and ICU. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 7751 Merrick Rd. and at St. Paul's Church at 1:00 p.m., where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with the Rev. Robert Kelly officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4-7 p.m. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
