Obituary of Anthony Barretta, Jr.

Anthony Barretta, Jr. Anthony Barretta, Jr., 55, of Rome, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017. He was born in Rome, NY, on April 22, 1961, son of the late Anthony and Mary Lovett Barretta. Anthony was a graduate of Rome Free Academy Class of 1979. He was employed by New York State DOT for thirty three years before retiring in 2016. Anthony loved his family. He was a NY Mets and Pittsburg Steelers fan. Anthony enjoyed fishing and hunting. Surviving are two sons: Anthony Donald Barretta and his girlfriend, Brandy Beckwith of Rome, Matthew Louis Barretta, Ft. Worth TX., also surviving, are three sisters: Lucy (Michael) Wheeler, Schenectady, NY, Trish (Ed) Talerico, Whitesboro, NY and Linda (Mark ) Wheeler, Rome, former wife, Tina Barretta, Rome, and several nieces and nephews who he loved. Anthony was predeceased by his parents: Anthony and Mary Barretta and a sister Mary Mooney. Friends may call at the Nicholas J.
