David L. Gorczyca
David L. Gorczyca, 65, of Rome, passed away Friday, August 4, 2017, at Rome Memorial Hospital. He was born in Lowville, NY, on August 2, 1952, son of the late Leonard and Patricia Howell Gorczyca. Dave graduated from Rome Free Academy. On June 29, 1973, he married Gail Bryant in Japan. Dave served in the United States Air Force from 1971 to 1977. He was a retired Toll Collector for the New York State Thruway Authority.
Surviving besides his wife, Gail, are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert and Jennifer Gorczyca, Huntersville, NC, Michael and Jennifer Gorczyca, Mooresville, NC, Adam Gorczyca, Rome, a daughter Kimberly Gorczyca, Iron Station, NC, two grandchildren, Jakob and Tyler and several nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, Mark Gorczyca and Stanley "Stas" Groczyca, two sisters, Nancy Gorczyca and Terri Ann Wakulik.
Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 7751 Merrick Rd., on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m.
