Obituary of Peter J. Cania

Peter J. Cania Jr. Peter J. Cania Jr., 86, of Rome, passed away Monday, March 19, 2012, at Rome Center. He was born in Rome, NY on June 6, 1925, son of the late Peter and Carmella Scuderi Cania. Peter was educated in Rome Schools. He retired from Cataldo Brothers Concrete. Mr. Cania was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Surviving are several nieces and nephews including Larry and Judy Cania, Rome. He was predeceased by three brothers, Lawrence, Rosario, and Salvatore "Sam" Cania; and a sister, Rose Montana. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., and at St. John the Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
