Mildred E. Mirarchi Mildred E. Mirarchi, 89, of Rome, passed away on, Saturday, March 31, 2012 at St. Luke's Health Care Center, New Hartford. She was born in Washington Mills, N.Y. on May 25, 1922 daughter of the late John and Helen Norman Horan. Mildred graduated from Utica Free Academy. She retired from General Electric Co., Utica, after 32 years of employment. Mildred was a member of St. John the Baptist Church and G.E, Century Club. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law Sharon and Chappie Clapper, Mohawk, N.Y., a step-daughter Priscilla Sparks and her friend Susan Woods, Lee Center, granddaughters Rachel Clapper, Robin Clapper and her companion Hector Gomez, Rebecca Clapper and her companion Robert Sportello and great grandchildren, Adrianna Sportello, and Hector Adrian Gomez. Also surviving are a brother William Horan, Utica, and a sister Helen Townsend, New Hartford, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a dear companion Pat Grosso, two brothers, Raymond Horan and John Horan, a sister Leona Christ. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St. and at St. John the Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
