Obituary of Frances Mae Vaughn

Frances Mae Vaughn On a cold clear morning with a full moon, the Lord has called for her to be with him. Frances Mae Vaughn, 85, of Rome, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Bethany Gardens. She was born in Rome, NY on May 31, 1927 daughter of the late Nicholas Sr. and Lena Butler Viscosi. Frances attended Rome schools. She was of the Catholic faith. Frances participated in activities at the Rome Moose Club, VFW, and American Legion. She was a loving, caring mother and grandmother. Surviving are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Harold Vaughn, Edward and Pam Vaughn, all of Rome, Ronald and Elizabeth Vaughn, Troy, NY; a daughter, Carol Vaughn, Rome; fourteen grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Nicholas Viscosi Jr., and three sisters, Dorothy Calvanie, Margaret Mosca, and Catherine Cosimeno. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 12:00 p.m. at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating.
