Anusha C. Yagey Anusha C. Yagey, 16, of Floyd, went on to relive Tuesday February 12, 2013, at University Hospital, Syracuse. He was born in Thailand on January 20, 1997. Anusha (meaning little brother in Thai) was adopted at age 7 from Thailand in 2004. He adopted Michael, Sharon and Joey as his family. Anusha was a ninth grade student at Holland Patent High School, where he was a high honor roll student and his favorite subject was laughing. He loved sports and excelled in lacrosse and soccer. Anusha was a natural athlete. He was a member of the Gentleman's Club. He left in this world his parents, Sharon and Michael Yagey; his loving brother, Joey Yagey, all of Rome; maternal nana and poppi, Jackie and Joe Roback, Rome; paternal grandparents, "Sitto" and "Giddo", Nick and Donna Yagey, Whitesboro. Also surviving are aunts, uncles and cousins, Debbie and George Chandler, Floyd, and their children Aubree, Aryell and Arianna; Susan Roback and Charlie Jones; Joe and Ron Pal and their children Rhonee Shea and Chaye; Stephen and Rhonda Yagey and their children Scott and Mathew; David and Mary Yagey and their children Justin and Elizabeth. He called his aunts "Cioci" (Chochee meaning aunt in Polish). He also leaves behind their beloved dog Emma, and many friends especially Louie, Jondre, and Chris, along with too many others to name. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Feb. 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Leo's Church, Holland Patent, where friends are invited to attend. Burial will be private. Friends may call at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc, 218 W. Court St., Rome, on Sunday from 2-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Holland Patent Youth Lacrosse Association (HPYLA), care of Sharon and Mike Yagey, 7523 Lambert Road, Rome, NY 13440. The family respectfully wishes for those attending services to wear bright colors (red and orange were his favorite) instead of black.
