Obituary of Louis D. Cingranelli

Louis D. Cingranelli Louis D. Cingranelli, 83, of Rome, passed away Monday, June 3, 2013 at Rome Memorial Hospital. He was born in Rome, N.Y., on March 3, 1930 son of the late Luigi and Vincenzia Ciccone Cingranelli. Lou was a graduate of Rome Free Academy. On October 9, 1948, he married Josephine Manuele in St. John the Baptist Church. Mr. Cingranelli was owner of City Electric in Rome. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Lou loved gardening, hunting and fishing. His grandchildren were the love of his life. Surviving are his wife, Josie, a son and daughter-in-law David and Therese Cingranelli, Binghamton, NY; a daughter and son-in-law Diane and Larry Drobnica, Taberg; four grandchildren Sara Drobnica, Nicholas Cingranelli, Tyler Cingranelli and Leah Cingranelli. Also surviving are a sister and brother-in-law Norma and Salvatore Frank, Rome and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Anna Petricca and Nancy Guida, six brothers Frank, Albert, Angelo, John, Dominick and Artie. The family would like to express a special thank you to Drs. Potluri and Moza, and the entire staff of two North and ICU at Rome Memorial Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating, where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Entombment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The family will receive friends at St. John the Baptist Church on Thursday from 10:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., prior to his Funeral Mass.
