Angeline "Angie" R. Schillaci Angeline "Angie" R. Schillaci, 82, of Rome, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014, at Rome Memorial Hospital with her devoted husband and family by her side. Angie was born in Rome, NY, on September 26, 1931, daughter of the late Gennaro and Caterina Condello Corigliano. Angie attended Rome Schools. On January 12, 1952, she married David J. Schillaci in St. John the Baptist Church, a loving and caring relationship of 62 years. She was an employee and retiree of Rome DDSO. Angie was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. She was also a member of the YMCA, the Madonna Die Capa Colonna Society, and the Corigliano Family Club. Through the years, Angie enjoyed cooking and sharing time with her family. Surviving are her husband, David, two sisters, Mary Farraggio of Arizona and Rose Baptiste of Rome, three brothers and sisters-in-law Thomas and Carmella Corigliano, Jerry and Catherine Corigliano, Peter and Isabelle Corigliano, and Anne Corigliano, all of Rome. Also surviving are sisters-in-law, Pauline Mazzaferro, Angeline Schillaci and Carmella Schillaci, all of Rome and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her sisters and brothers-in-law, Antoinette and Dominick Ross, Nora and Carl Pugliese, Frances and Alfred Scerra, a brother Nazare Corigliano, and brothers-in-law, William Baptiste, James Farraggio and other brothers and sisters-in-law. A special thank you to nieces Cathie Destito, Christine Ensenat, and Loretta Pugliese and nephew Phil Schillaci. The family would also like to thank the staff at Rome Memorial Hospital and Bethany Gardens. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:15 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., and at St. John the Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m., for a Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Church Memorial Fund., 210 E. Dominick St., Rome, NY 13440.
