Latina "Lottie" Mercurio Latina "Lottie" Mercurio , 89, of Rome, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at Stonehedge Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Rome, NY on November 11, 1917, daughter of the late Steven and Victoria Gratch Recchio. Lottie attended Rome Schools. On May 30, 1941, she married Thomas A. Mercurio Sr. in St. John the Baptist Church. He passed away November 22, 1971. Mrs. Mercurio retired from Rome State School. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, South Rome Senior Citizens, and AARP. Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas Butch and Jan Mercurio, Rome, Stephen and Della Mercurio, Tennessee, Dominick Mercurio, Rome; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Camille and Joseph Musa, Tiffin, Ohio, Ann Autrey and her fianc Herbert Gould, Rome, Cathy Stallings and special friend Glen McCoy, North Carolina, and Linda Chavez and special friend Tim Traxel, Rome; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Archie and Virginia Recchio, Alexander Sandy and Marion Recchio, all of Rome; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary Atkinson, Augustina Augie Aquillo, both of Rome, and Anne and Peter Curtice, Michigan; thirteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Frank Recchio, and two sisters, Antoinette Barbato and Carmella Russell, and a son-in-law, Gary Autrey. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Stonehedge Health and Rehabilitation Center Wing 4 for their care and compassion. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 8:15 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., and at St. John the Baptist Church at 9:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc,. 4277 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, N.Y. 13413.
