Ansel Robert Carroll , 80, of North Syracuse, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Katherine Lutheran Home, Clinton. He was born in St. Louis, MO, on October 18, 1927, son of the late Ansel W. and Helen Kaeshoffer Carroll. Mr. Carroll graduated from the University of Missouri and served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired after 35 years from Equifax, Syracuse, N.Y. In 1953, he married Patsy Ruth Black in Columbia, MO. Mr. Carroll was a choir member at Malden Road Church of Christ and Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in N. Syracuse. He enjoyed playing the trumpet for both choirs and the Onondaga Civic Orchestra. Surviving besides his wife, are a daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Bill Ziemba, Deansboro; a son, Mike Carroll, North Syracuse: a sister, Suzanne Roosen, Arizona; a brother-in-law, Don and his wife, Judy Black, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, 435 S. Main St., N. Syracuse. The family will receive friends following the service at church. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lutheran Homes, 110 Utica Road, Clinton, N.Y. 13323. Arrangements are by the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., Rome.
