John E. Keenan John E. Keenan, 84, of Rome, passed away Friday, February 28, 2014, at Memphis Veterans Hospital, Memphis, TN. He was born in Minot, ND, on August 18, 1928, son of the late John F. and Kathryn B. VanCamp Keenan. On October 17, 1959 he married Rose M. Dorsino, in St. John the Baptist Church. She passed away October 22, 2005. John retired from the U.S. Air Force at Bolling Air Force Base as a TSGT. He also was stationed at the Pentagon, in Washington, D.C. as an Intelligence Clerk. He was a member of Transfiguration Church, Air Force Sergeant's Association and Knights of Columbus. Surviving are nieces and nephews including, Kathleen and Tom Earl, Memphis, TN, Eileen and Richard Dorsino, Rome and many other nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He was predeceased by his wife, Rose; a brother Andrew Keenan and three sisters Patricia Gardern, Helen Bradeen and Moira Pomije and a niece, Mrs. Honora (Pomije) Cunningham. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., and at Transfiguration Church at 11:00 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
