Obituary of Mary R. Semo

Mary R. Semo Mary R. Semo, age 81 of Rome passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Rome Memorial Hospital Residential Healthcare Facility, with her loving family by her side. Mary was born in Rome, NY, on August 21, 1934, daughter of the late Aurelio and Josephine Rossi Martinez. Mary attended Rome Schools. She was united in marriage to John E. Semo, they shared 63 wonderful years together. Mary worked at Loblaws and at Rome Hospital in the Housekeeping Department. She loved shopping, cooking for her family and going on casino trips. Surviving besides her husband John, are two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Annie Semo, Carlisle, PA and Gary and Karen Semo, Rome, three grandchildren, Stacia, Corey and Gary and his wife Kate; four great grandchildren, Kennedy, Devan, Brayden and Elliana. Also surviving are a sister Rose Ortolano, Norwich, NY, a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Linda Martinez, Bluffton, SC. She was predeceased by a brother Joseph Martinez and a sister, Anita Woznicki. The family would like to express a special thank you to the entire staff on 3 East at Rome Hospital.
