Genevieve A. Carollo Genevieve A. Carollo , 91, of Rome, passed away Friday, August 15, 2008 at Rome Memorial Hospital after a brief illness . She was born in Rome, NY on May 11, 1917 the daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary Lombard.Zoccolillo. Genevieve was a graduate of Rome Free Academy. In June of 1937 she married. Salvatore Sam J Carollo in St. Peters Church. He passed away April 11,2007 Genevieve.was former owner and operator,with her husband, of Farmers Market on Erie Boulevard. She was also formerly employed at Griffiss Air Force Base and Rome Hospital. Mrs. Carollo was a member of St. Pauls Church,and was an avid golfer and volunteer at Rome Hospital. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Carrie and Ricardo Caporilli, Taberg; a son and daughter-in-law,Josephand Lorraine Carollo,FL.; eight grandchildren,and seven great-grandchildren.Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers Louis Lombard and Leo Lombard,and three sisters,Sister Gerada Joseph,Dahle Werthman,Helen Rogers and Carmella Cupak. The family would like to express a special thank you to the friends and caregivers at Bethany Gardens and Rome Memorial Hospital 2 North. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:15 am from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc.,218 W. Court St., and at St. Pauls Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday,From 3:00-6:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Pauls Church .
