Please share a memory of Camille to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Camille Carissimo Guglielmo, 81, of Rome, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 with her loving family by her side. She was born on January 3, 1941, in Rome, NY to the late John and Anne (Kanowski) Carissimo. Camille was united in marriage to her lifelong love of 63 years, the late Ronald Guglielmo on December 14, 1957. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Camille and her husband Ron owned and operated the Red Coach Restaurant for 25 years. She then went on to work for the office of the Rome City Clerk until she retired in 2019. Camille loved spending time with her husband golfing and traveling in their RV. She also loved being in the kitchen - Camille would spend her Sundays making huge Italian dinners to share with her children and grandchildren. Her family will miss the love she gave out, her beautiful smile, her meatballs, and her stubborn attitude. They have peace from knowing she is now reunited with the love of her life, with whom she has greatly missed the last two years. Camille is survived by her loving children, Ron (Melissa) Guglielmo, Rhonda (Chris) Ingham, Bryan (Theresa) Guglielmo, Kerry (Scott) Wittmann; a sister Patricia (Carissimo) Ripley; seven grandchildren, one great-grandson, and one great-grandson to be and several nieces and nephews; as well as her furry companion, Tanner. She was predeceased by her husband Ron; a daughter Alicia; sisters Marilyn (Carissimo) Merna and Cathie Carissimo, and a brother John Carissimo. The family would like to thank the ICU and 2 North staff at Rome Health, especially Rachel Gubbins, RN, for the excellent care they provided to Camille. Services are private.
