Mariette S. Weber Mariette S. Weber, 97, of Rome, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2010, in Bethany Gardens Skilled Living Center, Rome. She was born on August 1, 1912, in Mulhouse, France, the daughter of Jean and Madeleine Kuster Seiler, and attended school in Mulhouse. In 1928, she came to New York City and resided with her uncle and aunt, Alfred and Louise Seiler Emmelin.On August 1, 1933, she was united in marriage to John Baptist Weber in New York City. He passed away on July 7, 1960. She is survived by two sons, John V. Weber, of Rome, NY, whose special friend, Sylvia Jubis, Whitesboro, is appreciated for care given during her stay at Rome Hospital and Bethany Gardens; and Alfred L. Weber and daughter- in-law Yu Saeng Weber, of Rancho Cordova, CA. Surviving also are a sister, Marlise Grosshenny, of Mulhouse, France, and several nephews. She was predeceased by a special cousin, Louise S. Weber, of Hopewell Junction, NY. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 21, 2010 at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 West Court St., Rome, at 7:00 PM. Family and friends are invited and may call Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx, NY. Contributions may be made in Mariette's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 258 Genesee St., Utica, NY 13502. Her family would like to extend their appreciation for the compassionate care given to Mariette at the Bethany Gardens Skilled Living Center during her residence there.
