Obituary of Elaine P. Crego

Elaine P. Crego Elaine P. Crego, 65, of Rome, passed away Monday, January 18, 2010 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare Center, New Hartford. She was born in Schenectady, N.Y. on October 2, 1944. Elaine graduated from Rome Free Academy. On April 17, 1982, she married George D. Crego Jr. in Rome. Elaine retired from Rome State School due to disability and was at one time the owner of the Snack Bar at the former Stars. She was of the Catholic faith. Surviving besides her husband, George, are a son and daughter-in-law, David and Christine Jones, Clinton; a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Darren Kaczor, Durhamville; a step daughter, Denese and her husband, Douglas Savoy, Holland Patent; four grandchildren, Kalyn, DeForrest, Justin and Coleman. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Spring burial will be in Westernville Cemetery. In lieu of calling hours, friends may join the family for a celebration of Elaine's life on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at the Westernville American Legion from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 120 Lomond Court, Utica, N.Y. 13502-5953, or the American Lung Association, 506 E. Washington St, Syracuse, N.Y. 13202. Arrangements are by the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St.
