Clifford M. Damuth, Jr.

1950 – 2024

Clifford M. Damuth, Jr., 73, of Rome, passed away on Tuesday January 24, 2024, at Wynn Hospital in Utica, N.Y. He was born in Rome, N.Y. on December 01, 1950, son of the late Clifford Sr. and Charlotte Fredette Damuth. Clifford was educated in Boonville Schools. He was united in marriage to Linda Walsh in 1978. Clifford was a machine operator at Rome Cable for over 35 years, before becoming a machine operator at Revere Copper and Brass in Rome for ten more years. Clifford was a very loving, caring, and devoted husband and father, who enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends.

Surviving besides his loving wife, Linda Damuth, are two sons; Edward Rutledge and Christopher (Kelli) Rutledge, one sister Rose Schmelzle, two brothers; Dave (Gigi) Damuth, and Grover Damuth, two grandchildren; Conner and Kylee Rutledge, a brother-in-law, Verne Benoit, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Clifford Sr., and Charlotte Damuth, three sisters; Cathy Benoit, Sandy Benoit, and Arlene Mehl, as well as a brother-in-law, Darryl Benoit.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday February 01, 2024 at 6:00 p.m, at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 7751 Merrick Rd. Rome, N.Y. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. prior to the service.
