Salvatore J. Mosca Salvatore J. Mosca, 80, of Rome, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2010 at home. He was born in Rome, N.Y. on March 25, 1929, son of the late Joseph and Theresa Durante Mosca. Salvatore attended Rome schools. He served with the U.S. Army in the Korean Conflict and received an honorable discharge. Mr. Mosca received the Korean Service Medal with a bronze star for saving his regiment. Salvatore was a former employee of Mosca Brothers Moving and Storage and also was employed for several years at Amo's Body Shop. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Surviving are two brothers, Joseph Mosca Jr., Rome, Richard Mosca, Utica; two sisters, Rosalie Mosca and Delores Tardugno, both of Rome; and several nieces and nephews, including three special nieces, his god children, Christine Proper and Pamela Ruane, and Kathy Mosca, all of Rome. He was predeceased by a brother, Dominick Mosca, and three sisters, Anna Orzakoski, Connie Pawlikowski and Frances Mosca. Funeral services are private. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St.
