Donna L. (Harmon) Mathis

1946 – 2024

Donna L. Mathis, 77, of Rome, passed away on Sunday March 03, 2024, at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse. She was born in Rome, N.Y. on July 16, 1946, daughter of the late Cecil and Maria Gualtieri Harmon. Donna attended Rome schools. On August 23, 1964, she was united in marriage to Robert R. Mathis, in Taberg, N.Y. He passed away on February 21, 1992. Donna was employed by Rite Aid in Rome for several years as a Key Manager.

Donna loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren more than anything and they loved her to the moon and back. She will be missed dearly, and we will all carry her in our hearts forever.

Surviving are two daughters; Rebecca Mathis and Lisa (Jeremy) Coleman, a son, Michael (Christian) Mathis, nine grandchildren; Jeremy, Joshua, Dyllan, Kyle, Trenton, Bella, Alexis, Connor, and Preston, twelve great-grandchildren; Devin, Jackson, Caydance, Aiden, Ronald, Mackenzie, Ariana, Kenzlie, Joshua Jr., Jameson, Jaxx, and Roman. She was predeceased by her parents, Cecil and Maria Harmon, and her husband, Robert R. Mathis, as well as her best friend, Nellie.
