Julia J. (Spinelli) Gobrick

 

Julia J. Gobrick, of Rome, passed away on Monday June 24, 2024, at Rome Health. She was born in Bronx, N.Y., daughter of the late Paul and Beatrice Lo Bue Spinelli. On April 21, 1958, Julia was united in marriage to Vincent P. Gobrick, Jr., a blessed union of nearly 64 years until his passing on December 02, 2022. She was employed by the New York State School for the Deaf, in Rome, as a Childcare Aide. Julia was a member of St. John the Baptist Church.

Surviving are four sons; Vincent (Jen) Gobrick III, of Rome, N.Y. Scott Gobrick, Locust Grove, VA, Anthony Gobrick, Buffalo N.Y., and John (Dawn) Gobrick, S.C., a daughter, Debbie Harvey, of Rome, N.Y. , six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Beatrice Spinelli, a son, Mark M. Gobrick, husband, Vincent P. Gobrick, Jr., three brothers; John, Charles, and Anthony, and three sisters, Frances Buono, Rose Gizzo, and Mary Pappas.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday June 28. 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at St John the Baptist Church, 210 E. Dominick Street, Rome, N.Y. with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating. There are no public calling hours. Burial will take place in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Julia’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105-9959, or online at stjude.org/donate.
