Charles E. "Chucky" Allen

 1970 - 2024

Charles E. Allen “Chucky”, 53, of Sherrill, passed away after a courageous battle with brain cancer with his family by his side, on Tuesday September 17,2024 at the Siegenthaler Center in New Hartford, NY. He was born in Wellingborough, England on December 8, 1970, son of the late Roger E. Allen and Valerie Hill. 

Chuck was a beloved employee at the Oneida Price Chopper for over 30 years where he worked as a stock clerk. He was a hard-working individual and had a joyful presence while working.

He loved his family, and had a very generous heart. Chuck was always thinking of others and will be greatly missed, especially by his nieces and nephews who he loved very much. Chuck had an infectious smile and a great sense of humor. We will always remember his hilarious and endless impersonations that would make everyone around him laugh until there were tears in their eyes. Chuck also loved music and would spend hours listening to different songs. He enjoyed learning new riffs and playing them on his guitar. Chuck also loved fishing and spending time in nature.

Chuck is survived by his brother Nigel (Greta) Robinson of Floyd; sister Tracey (Michael) Hluska of Rome; Hannah Robinson, Valerie DiBerardino, Kevin Hluska, Bryan Hluska. He was predeceased by his parents, Valerie Hill Allen, and Roger Allen.

The family would like to thank the staff at Bethany Gardens for their care. They would also like to thank the staff at Abraham house, as well as at the Siegenthaler center for all of their compassion and care.

In keeping with Chuck’s wishes there will be no calling hours, private graveside services will be held at a later date.
